Jacob's 4th Annual Piano Recital

Jake played "The Happy Farmer" and "The Imperial March" from Star Wars for his piano recital this year. He almost completely stopped playing during one song and we were a little puzzled. Later we asked what happened...he said "A fly landed right on my hand while I was playing and all I could think was...I can't believe a fly just landed on my hand!" :) We are grateful for his gift of music and pray that he will use it for His glory!

A Mommy date with Johnny...

I am loving watching this relationship grow! John has been wanting to "go on a date" with just Mommy for a long time. So off we went to "Monkey Joes". Johnny and Michael had a blast jumping and laughing and I got a slide burn! Ouch! These two boys remind me of when Jake and Lilly were this age...sweet memories! I am looking forward to everyone being home for the summer, but have cherished my time with "my baby boys"!!

Remembering Our Freedom was bought with a Price! Memorial Day Parade 2009

Our dance season has ended...but may we continue to praise Him!

Let them praise His name in festive dance... Psalm 149:3

A garden cannot grow in a forest!!

We had to move our small garden to the front yard. We did not get enought sunlight in the back!
...with a little coaxing :), Mike moved our garden to the front yard. We had just the right spot where a tree once stood! Now there is hope for our garden! Everything needs sun! ...Just like everyone needs "The Son"! May we reap a harvest!

Girl Fun...Lilly & "Kit" attended an American Girl Birthday for a couple of Sweet and Dear Friends!

Field Day 2009

Happy 14th Anniversary Babe!

...a stolen moment for lunch at Chateau Elan...a wonderful moment to discuss our marriage goals, spiritual goals and reminiscing over the years...a sweet time...focused on one another...Thank you Lord...better than I could ever imagine...truly blessed!!

Mother's Day 2009

What does a "deck garden" and a new dress from sis, a great breakfast in bed, plants and cards and sweet coupons, a new bike, and visiting with family in Canton with great food and games... all have in common?...A WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND! THANK YOU, SWEET FAMILY!!!

My sister, Jenn came in town to make us this great garden! Notice the trees behind her...we have no sun in our backyard ...so that is how we came up with the "pool garden" on the deck! She planted a little of everything! Jenn is on a board in Charleston that help start "box gardens" in urban communities! She has become quite the gardener(just like our grandfather, Pop!) and ministers to many urban children! http://www.thepocketgardener.org
