Spring Break
We had a wonderful time at Pensacola Beach for "Spring Break". Mike was able to schedule some work and swing a beach trip for our family, all in one!! He's the man!! Jenn and Mandi were able to come along since we were upgraded to a Jr. Exec. Suite at the Hilton...what a blessing!! Thanks to Jenn for the (Flip) video of our trip (see below)! The weather was a little breezy and cool but the children (and Mike) had a blast in the waves anyway! You would have thought we were from up North...polar bear club!! They even had their try at "surfing" the waves! Jake did pretty good...it is more like body boarding in the Gulf! The jellyfish weren't too bad, but one seemed to get Mike on the leg...gotta have some adventure! It was nice having my sisters together on this beach trip! It was a lot of fun having them around!...and a BIG help! Mike and I were able to squeeze in a date! It was GREAT! My sisters and I have not been able to all go to the beach together since our Mother went to be the Lord exactly 5 years ago on April 2. We have many memories going to Pensacola, Gulf Shores and Perdido Keys with our Mom! She loved the beach and having us girls with her! She always made our trips memorable! Memorable moments from this trip were: 2am fire alarm, putt-putt, arcade, sneaking out for late night swims with Dad, finding a stunt kite in the trash and getting it to fly, game of 20 questions, seeing John chase the seagulls, Jake riding some really big waves, Lilly picking out her souvenirs, and just stepping back from it all and seeing our whole family and how blessed we really are!!
