A recent birthday party at the zoo...
First Days of Fall
Johnny is offically "3"!
John actually turned "3" on September 3rd. We had a family celebration then, but did not have a official Birthday party with friends until the 13th. We celebrated as a family with a "Chic-fil-A" picnic at the park (his favorite). We also spruced up the old playground at home for his birthday and LOVED watching all three of the children play for hours together in the sand and on the new tire swing!! He told everyone he was "still 2" up until we had his party with extended family and friends! He loved having a two week celebration...he is just like his Daddy! He was all decked out as a pirate at his party, thanks to Aunt Jenn Jenn! We are treasuring these days with Johnny... we know how fleeting the days are! He keeps us all laughing and smiling! We thank the Lord for his energy and passion and pray that someday it will grow into a greater passion for Christ! Happy Birthday, Johnny!
Our contribution to Hoschton's Scarecrow World Record

Yo! It's "Joe~Joe" the big-head scarecrow! The children thought what would be more fun than to be a part of breaking a world record! So we set out to make a scarecrow...and he just grew larger and larger! The children said, "Mom why is his head so big!?". I just said "It's Joe~Joe the BIG head scarecrow! Hoschton did end up breaking the record with 4800 scarecrows! The children love driving by and looking at them all!
The Office in progress!
Mike truly is a Superman! He is now working late hours finishing up his office in the basement. I don't know how he managed to work in the children's study this summer with three children running around and often throwing Nerf balls by his head...AMAZING! Oh, how he will enjoy having a space to call his own...ditto here :), but oh, how we LOVE having him near! It will be bittersweet!
Thank you Lord, for the answered prayer of having him near!
